Garg
Vranda completed her PhD at the University of Göttingen in Germany. Her research focuses on modeling neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, aiming to uncover the cellular and molecular mechanisms behind these conditions, utilizing zebrafish as a organism. At the end of 2023, she joined Samlab as a postdoctoral researcher to investigate the non-canonical function of DEPDC5 in brain development and epilepsy.
“I joined the SamLab because the research interest of this lab matches with my desired area of specialization, and everyone in this group are very cooperative and nice. I believe that doing my post-doctoral training in this lab will help me to be trained for a long-term academic career.”
Aside from lab Vranda enjoy listening music, watching movies and travelling.
