Garg, Vranda-4946m_edited.png

Vranda did her PhD at the University of Goettingen in Goettingen, Germany. She is interested in modelling neurological and neurodegenerative disorders and in understanding the cellular and molecular basis of the pathogenesis, using zebrafish as a model. At the end of 2023, she joined the Samlab as a post-doc to work on understanding the non-canonical role of DEPDC5 in brain development and epilepsy.

“I joined the SamLab because the research interest of this lab matches with my desired area of specialization, and everyone in this group are very cooperative and nice. I believe that doing my post-doctoral training in this lab will help me to be trained for a long-term academic career.”

Aside from lab Vranda enjoy listening music, watching movies and travelling.
