Éric
Samarut

Éric holds a Ph.D. in molecular aspects of life sciences from Université de Strasbourg. Following a post-doctoral position at the University of Montreal, where he researched the molecular foundations of neurogenesis, he focused on the functional genomics of rare diseases. In September 2020, he established the SamLab at CRCHUM. Passionated about scientific entrepreneurship, especially in drug development, he also earned an MBA in 2017 and HMX certificates from Harvard Medical School, concentrating on clinical pharmacology and gene therapy.

“More than just a research lab, I would love the Samlab to be a place of personal and professional growth, beyond science, for those who stop by.”

Aside from the lab, Éric enjoys spending time with family and friends and... thinking of the lab (urgh)
